"The room was a bit basic and had no tea or coffee making facilities, but it was quiet, in a good location. Staff very friendly and breakfast was great."

Lovely spacious room for a family of four. So close to the train station for an overnight stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk into the old port for sight seeing. Very beautiful and comfortable room. Would happily book again.

The Hotel was well away from both the beach and the old port. This meant a bus journey to the beach or a tram ride to the old port. A good thing about the hotel was that during the week(Monday to Friday) there was a market outside the hotel which was very good.

Our second stay at La Residence and we love the place. The views from the rooms across the Old Port are just stunning - we slept with the curtains open so we could take in the view from bed! The rooms are large and comfortable, likewise the bathrooms. Not luxurious exactly but all one needs is there, and the decor is fun and idiosyncratic.

I stayed here for a week. I asked for a room overlooking the port at the back of the hotel - the front is in a narrow street behind. The view was amazing. My room had two large windows and was spacious and very clean. The bed was heavenly - the most comfortable I have ever had apart from home. I didn't eat breakfast there - at €23.50 it seemed very expensive. There is a lovely bakery next door and a coffee machine in the room.
There isn't a restaurant in the hotel, apart from at breakfast, but...

In one word: brilliant
The hotel reception staff we came across during our stay- 4 members, were all fantastic. All were multilingual and helped with amenities, directions and general advice. Always smiling, always said hello as we walked into the hotel. Passed information onto the next staff member, literally some of the nicest reception staff I've ever met. Cleaners were always polite and courteous.
The hotel was in a superb location, next to a subway station, all the main restaurants...

Apartment room was very clean with very comfortable bed. Unusual the rooms were in different building in same terrace road.
Breakfast was not included but excellent selection and beautiful surroundings for meals in reception building.
Staff were very helpful and spoke good English
