Nice hotel for the price

Posted 03-Dec-2016
Got a room at the royal tower. Everything's ok except my room didn't have a fridge and I think they charged a little too much for the resort fee even though you can't use the pool (which is off for the season). Their hotel gym is nice. Dumbells go up to 100lbs. Overall, my stay at excalibur was pretty comfy and would definitely recommend

Definitely NOT what it looks from the outside

Posted 02-Dec-2016
Don't be alarmed to find a completely different setup once you get inside this hotel. It looks like a palace or a fort from the outside but underneath that its pathetic. The rooms in both Royal tower and Resort tower are horrible by even a 3star Hotel standards. The whole place looks shady n trashy. I could swear I stayed in a motel that was much comfortable than this was. On top of that they charge you a $35 resort fee if you stay there which is useless. I strongly DO NOT recommend this place.

Overview of our stay .

Posted 02-Dec-2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Cleanliness andhonezty
Location: Much to do nearby. The hotel was very disappointing
Our stay was to celebrate my husbands 68th birthday. First of all we were hit wit. $26.00 mandatory valet parking fee. Then we check into our room andfinf the resort fees are now $39 per night as opposed to. An unacceptable previous $29 per night ad described when we booked. We upgraded to have a view of the strip. We had a view of a roof that was on the same side of the strip. The room hadn't been vacuumed from a previous stay because there was some type of confetti on several places of the floor from a previous party in our room. There wewerevery small pillows on a king size bed. The towels were clean but very stained. No hair conditioner was available. The ice machine did not work. There as a previous bar of soap left on the shower base. The lights did not work properly. Not enough hangers for our clothes. The maid visited our room the second day but did not make the bed. Very disappointed for a celebration of my husbands 68th birthday. I wanted something special for him but we left disappointed and broke and did not drop one fine to gamble. Very Very disappointed. Will not be back and will not go through expedia again. I feel the accommodations should be screened better than this.

Good Enough

Posted 02-Dec-2016
Pros: The room and bathroom were spacious. The location is nice as well. Quick tram ride to other hotels which have several good restaurants.
Cons: A coffee maker in the room really would have been nice. No one wants to make a 30 minute trip for their morning cup.
Location: Location is great. Very easy access to the airport, under a 10 minute drive. A short tram ride to Larger hotels for plenty of dining and drink options
There was a long line to check in but they at least had quite a few counters open. There was no coffee maker in the room which is annoying because the hotel is large so you will have to make a long trip for any coffee in the morning. The room was large and so was the bathroom. It's a bit dated but suited our needs for one night. When we tried calling for a late check out the next day, check out is 11am, no one answered the phone so we had to trek back down to the lobby and wait in line again. It's ridiculous that there is no one answering the guest phone. For a small fee you can check out later and you also have to pay for parking, which you didn't at other strip hotels.
