The estuary room we had was nice, with every amenity we needed, including a free gin (would have been even better if the tonic was free). Perfectly located to walk into town and lovely views of the river from the restaurant / bar. Breakfast was good, although there is a £10 charge for cooked options."

"The Bodmin Jail Hotel was amazing, really well presented and the history has been preserved brilliantly. During our stay we did the after dark ghost tour which again was an amazing experience our guide Kee was very knowledgeable and friendly, overall I would highly recommend a visit to either the hotel or the attraction"

"Overall really loved the Hotel. Lovely view from our room over the bay. The staff were really lovely and helpful. One problem we did have was the menu shown on the website has obviously not been brought up to date. Before visiting we had chosen what we wanted from the online menu (which also stated a 10% surcharge) only to find a completely different menu on arrival with a 12.5 % surcharge. Having arrived after a long journey I ended up having a bowl of soup! This may be useful for future visitors as nowhere else to eat locally. The breakfast, however, was perfect."

"Great location on the harbour. Definitely on the shabby side, common areas could use some redecoration and carpets, but the room was nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and courteous. Overall a great place to stay for a few days, we would stay again."
