"The manager/owner was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, spacious and just right for our overnight stay. The restaurant downstairs was great, lovely food, good wine and reasonably priced. I would definitely return and recommend this little hotel. "

"Lovely hosts with great local recommendations. Went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed . Spent a full day relaxing by the pool during a heat wave. Easy access to St Emilion. Comes with a bonus friendly fat chateau cat on the grounds."

"A really charming place to stay, with a welcoming host, and comfortable room with stunning country views. The breakfasts were generous and delicious, with lovely homemade touches - all made even better by taking place in the beautiful courtyard. We stayed for 4 nights but would have loved to stay longer."

"A good value budget hotel that is more a motel style. Very convenient for Bergerac Airport. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Could benefit from more pillows for the bed and milk for hot drinks. The breakfast was good and excellent value"

What a wonderful surprise and a great way to experience both the Chateau and the Relais. At the Relais you even get your own balcony to enjoy the sunset at night.
There is a pool, a sauna and a gymnasium at your disposal.
I would just make a small recommendation - try introducing a hot cooked breakfast and /or later night snacks/bar within the Relais complex. Otherwise, bliss.

The room we had was very unique with exposed roof beams, interesting art , decor , and smart new Bathroom facilities . The bed was huge and very comfortable.
The breakfast was excellent with Yoghurt, Croissants, Pain au Chocolat, and Breads with butter and and jams as well as a platter of cold meats and cheese, and a basket of fruit. It was generally served by the most friendly and considerate proprietor who spoke good English and made time to advise us on places to visit etc.

Very pretty area even if a little noisy from restaurants nearby. 10 mins walk from the train station. If you have lots of luggage it's best to let the owner know in advance, because there's no elevator (but he was extremely kind and brought my luggage up for me :-). A lovely stay!

Laura and Dominique were exceptional hosts, allowing us to arrive slightly earlier than planned. Not only was the room perfect and exactly as pictured, the breakfast was outstanding - so much choice, and lots of homemade food. I would highly recommend guests to stay here if they are looking for accommodation near Saint Emilion.

The host is just so helpful and cheerful, the room is super clean and the attention of detail from the host makes the stay so much enjoyable.
Unfortunely for me, my room was the one on the main road and I am a light sleeper, so sleep was not the best experience so agreed with host to reserve a room at the back of the Mas for my next stay.

Food is excellent and we were made very welcome despite arriving late for dinner after a long drive. The chateau itself is a lovely building in a beautiful setting and is furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and modern. Atmosphere is relaxed and informal. We didn’t have time to use the spa facilities but will do next time we visit.

Fabulous welcome at this lovely property. We enjoyed the pool and the garden, a very spacious bedroom with our own shady terrace to relax, and a delicious evening meal. Top marks to Sylvain and Any. Breakfast was also excellent.

The best area to stay in Landerrouat is within the village centre itself, particularly around the church and the main square.
Landerrouat is a small, quiet village, and staying in the centre offers the most convenience. The village is compact, with a few local services and the Mairie (town hall) located centrally. You'll find yourself close to the local church, which often serves as a focal point, and the few village shops or restaurants, should there be any. The surrounding area is characterised by vineyards and rolling countryside.
For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, staying within Landerrouat village or in a gîte just outside offers an ideal base. You'll appreciate the quiet rural setting, great for relaxed walks or cycling through the vineyards. It's a great spot for enjoying the local cuisine and wines without the hustle and bustle of larger towns.
Families looking for a calm holiday will also find Landerrouat appealing. Many gîtes in the immediate area offer more space and amenities, such as gardens or private pools, which are great for children to play in.
When is the best time to go to Landerrouat?
The best times to go to Landerrouat are during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October).
These months offer pleasant weather, with comfortable temperatures ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside and vineyards without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll find the landscape at its most picturesque, with blooming flowers in spring and the rich colours of the grape harvest in autumn.
For couples looking for a romantic getaway, late spring provides a beautiful backdrop for leisurely walks and enjoying the local produce markets. The milder temperatures are great for cycling or exploring the nearby bastide towns.
Families travelling with children will also appreciate the comfortable climate in early autumn.
