Spectacular Winnipesaukee Waterfront, Amazing Lake and Mountain Views, Huge Deck
Built initially as the Original Lakefront Estate in 1895, this historic house served as the Rec center for three decades of Camp Quimby girls' summer camp in the early 20th century. This one-of-a-kind lakefront rustic Adirondack has a million-dollar unobstructed view over Lake Winnipesaukee and the receding mountain ranges! Wake up each morning to the expansive views into Meredith Harbor, and enjoy breakfast overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee from the kitchen through a 12-foot sliding glass door/screen, or among several different seating options on the covered, wrap arond, deck. At night walk into Weirs, less than ten minutes walk, or stay home and roast marshmallows and smores at the original Camp's firepit. Enjoy family bonding over board games, ping-pong, water sports, and family barbeques, or watch a movie in the den. Feel free to relax with a book from our bookcase filled with several contemporary and vintage novels. Walk down to Weirs and enjoy several dining options, and enjoy drinks and cocktails, or drive just ten minutes to either Meredith or Gilford, which both offer great dining establishments, shopping, and entertainment options, including Meadowbrooks famous outdoor concert pavilion. Directly behind the property, you can find public walking trails through the woods. Five miles away, you can discover Gunstock Ski Mountain, which offers year-round outdoor adventures. During the Summer, you can enjoy breathtaking views by hiking or riding the chairlift to Gunstocks Summit. For the more adventurous, you can embark on Gunstock's Arial Treetop Adventure New England's largest Ropes course, as well as a mountain coaster, a scenic zipline tour, mountain biking, and the Bronco Off-Roadeo, a unique offroading experience. For a more romantic evening, walk down to the Weirs and enjoy a nighttime dinner dance cruise on the Mount Washington or a throwback Drive-In movie. Additionally, you can catch a daytime cruise on one of the last operating mailboats in the world, as it delivers mail to the islands on the lake.
The boat slip shown in the picture is available to rent for $425, per week.

The location of the house is great. The covered porch is wonderful. The size of the house was what our family size required. The appliances were all fairly new. Unfortunately, the house itself was filthy and musty smelling.
My family of 10 had a great week at this lovely lake house! We ranged in age from 9 years old to 73 years old. The porch was large and comfortable with breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. The dock, which is shared with a few other homes, was large and everyone else who used it was friendly. We loved swimming out to the huge water trampoline or just floating around the dock in our tubes (we brought our own, but there were also some to borrow, along with chair and noodles, in the shed along the dock). The kitchen had a large table that fit us all comfortably. Most of the bedrooms were comfortable with their own AC units. However, the two bunkbed rooms didn’t have ACs and got quite hot despite our efforts to shut hallway doors and use fans to send air from the other cooler bedrooms into those rooms (we were there when it was 90 degrees daily though, so this might not be a problem often). The decor and furniture is kind of rustic ski chalet, which was cute. Maybe some furniture could use an update, but it was fine for the price. Most appliances were new & stainless steel. My teenagers loved the large ping pong table in the living room. There is plenty to do besides swim because it’s just a 15 minute walk to Weirs Beach. We rented a boat and tube for a day, and rented jet skis another day. The host Glen was friendly and pleasant to work with. He got right back to me every time I called or texted through the rental process and stay. We would love to come back next summer!
PROPERTY WAS BEAUTIFUL AS PROMISED. LOCATION:BEAUTIFUL! STAY:WONDERFUL! RELAXING WHEN NEEDED, SO MANY THINGS TO DO WHEN NEEDED. HOST GLEN, AWESOME AND HELPFUL.
There actually were enough beds for 10 guys. However, there are only two bathrooms. sitting on the front porch spectacular overlooking Lake Winnepesaukee. sitting down on the dock you can see all of Weirs beach. Definitely walkable to Weirs Beach so you don’t have to ride or drive.
We loved the location and the feel of this property the view of the lake and mountains from the porch was amazing all and all we had a great stay!

Disappointment
We’ll start with the positives, the view, outside deck and proximity to Weirs beach as well as the appliances. From there we can’t give to many other accolades, as the home was very dirty, with furniture that is way past it’s prime. The bathrooms were disgusting and shower curtain liner was moldy. You’re also sharing a dock with numerous others as this is an association, so don’t expect privacy. A very disappointing vacation to say the least, we actually left a day early.
