"Beautiful hotel with great staffing. Wish hotel had a pool though."

"The hotel airport shuttle operates only 2 hourly which is hopeless. A taxi from the airport costs c.$40 and so bear this in mind if choosing this hotel based on cost. When we stayed, live music played from 9 pm until midnight which was incredibly loud. All lyrics could be heard in our room which was annoying and intrusive, impeding sleep. The hotel is dated. The reception staff are unhelpful and unfriendly. The bellman was very helpful."

"It’s a big property with lots of rooms which means you can hear others. The walls are thin. The room that I stayed in had a big crack in the wash sink. The tv did not have the remote and I had to ask the front desk. For the price paid , I wish this hotel had more to offer and a better room. The toilet also did not flush completely the first time. Breakfast was good and had good timings : 6 to @ am which was good and had decent options catering to a lot of food categories. Staff was good ."

"This place is perfect for a seasoned solo traveler. It’s very safe and the inkeeper is absolutely wonderful. I stayed here alone and ventured out to see other areas and left my belongings here and returned four days later. It’s close to the central Market and a quick cheap uber ride. I walked to the local restaurant with the best views of San Jose.. Is it pampering? No. It’s clean and simple. Breakfast cooked by the inkeeper makes it feel like home. I appreciated this property so much because it was quiet. I planned my activities in other places but it was nice to come back here and enjoy the hospitality of a local owner. I would stay here again.❤️"
