The private preserve was great. We hiked every Km of the well maintained and marked trails. If you want a comfortable place to just relax, unwind and enjoy nature, this is it! The staff were absolutely great, very friendly and very responsive. Buy he optional meals, they were excellent and there are not many local options. The feeling of being in the Garden of Eden draws you outside to the rushing little river, the dozens of hummingbirds zooming around the well-stocked feeders, the lovely grounds and the selection of hiking trails. The focus here is on conscious conservation and nature study and enjoyment, but the breakfast (included) was excellent and the dinner (extra) good. There are a couple of sodas in the village down the (very dark) hill as alternatives for supper if you have independent transport. Our hosts gave us the warmest welcome. They were very knowledgeable and took pride in pointing at all the different birds and animals. The home cooked food was delicious. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, but it felt like a waste spending too much time inside. The grounds are amazing and maintained with love and passion. There are several well marked trails, which you can explore on your own or with a guide.
