La Malene is a great village with several restaurants, boat trips and canoeing and is perfect for exploring the Tarn Gorge.Although we advised Robert that we would be journeying all day, from the 08.00 ferry at St Malo, arriving in La Marlene 18.30/19.00, the hot water system hadn’t been switched on so we were unable to shower until the next morning. We booked a three bedroom two bathroom property, as detailed in the listing, unfortunately Robert only allowed the use of two of the bedrooms??? there is only one bathroom (shower and sink) with two separate toilets, one without a sink and one with only half a door. There was very limited storage for a 10 day stay so we lived out of suitcases. Although this was an inconvenience it didn’t detract from the fabulous Tarn Gorge experience."
