"Marula is a brand new place with two lovely houses and a nice swimmingpool, all surrounded by a big garden. The location is very close to the beautiful beach, with the nice beachbar 'Ali Baba & The Fourty Thieves' nearby. The staff at Marula's is very friendly. They helped us perfectly by making a nice tour to Shimba Hills. Despite the last part of the raining season, we enjoyed the days we spent here."

"The villa it self was nice overall..the listing says 4 bedrooms but in all reality it was only two bedrooms and a loft with two beds upstairs in the loft.. "Stayed only 1 night out of 14 (we arrived late at night, otherwise we would have left straight away). Mouldy food left in fridge. Kitchen not clean. Oven & hotplates did not work. No wifi. No aircon, but a noisy freestanding fan was available. No safe. One broken sunbed with stained mattress. We were shown emergency lights for when the electricity goes off, but these did not work. Outside area in need of a good sorting out. On the plus side, it is close to a beautiful beach."

Food was 8/10, could work on variety throughout the days so it’s not the same everytime but the meat stations changed everyday which was really nice!
