It’s overpriced, with a terrible old-fashioned design, an awful worn-out mattress that’s nowhere near any reasonable standard, a shower that doesn’t close properly, a funny-looking toilet, and zero soundproofing. The hotel is located a bit remotely, so for me as a solo traveler it didn’t feel safe to walk in the evening. Next to the bed there were bedside tables with night lights — basically steel candle-shaped lamps that take up all the space and blind you when turned on. Before check-in, there were no instructions on how to find the reception. I had to circle around asking people, and eventually discovered that the reception is actually in the Garden Hotel — not obvious at all. The reception and breakfast area is shared with the 'Yarden' hotel across the street so can be tricky to find for tour pickups and when you arrive. The room was dated but comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. There is some noise in the rooms - from the street (it's busy) the toilets (they have an electric pump) and soundproofing between rooms could be better.
