Onaero Bay Bach11, coastal cottage and traditional kiwi Bach holiday retreat
8/10 Good
"Beautiful spot, lovely bach. Shame about the road noise, very loud. The river looks unwell with no current running through it and no water from river mouth pushing up, the water looks dirty , still and stagnant. No whitebait. The native bush and bird life is amazing and brings a sense of wonder, awe and tranquility that was the highlight of my stay plus the warmth and cosyness the fire provided. Lovely warm days. You may want to hire a new cleaner as there was mould on one of the smaller lounge windows. Cobwebs all over the back of couch, microwave hadn't been cleaned, outdoor table was covered in mould and dust. It would be a good idea to note down to push the blue button in electrical box when fuse is blown. If the person that gets the bach ready went in the morning to check everything is in good working order this problem may have been avoided.Very comfy bed in back room. Thank you for letting your bach to me - Tania."

"I had a fantastic 3 night stay with my kids and dog. We explored the farm, enjoyed the sunsets and the incredible night sky. We also visited the three sisters which was amazing but be prepared to get very muddy. Mt Damper falls is nearby and also awesome. Evan was a great host, the cabin was well set up,"

"Super place, very comfortable & all required. Great to have met you Pork.So lucky to have the annual rugga game whilst there to meet everyone...Fabbo!!!Cool little town with some true characters!!"
"We enjoyed this propertyās warm fireplace that heated the house, decks we could sit out on and enjoy the view. Itās seclusion and amenities including the continental breakfast. Had nice thick curtains for a good sleep in. We enjoyed the entertainment system watching dvd movies, and played some of the board games provided. The house is stylishly decorated. The house cat, named Kitten , is peaceful and loves her head massaged. We had a lovely stay. Thank you."
Off Grid 2-bedroom cabin in Onaero perfect for relaxing getaways
8/10 Good
"This was a great place to get away, in the winter there is not too much room to food prep. you are better off to get take aways or take pre- prepped food."
"Great host communication, concern shared for our wellbeing during a power cut. Thank god for the amazing woodburner that kept us warm and cooked our dinner! Views to die for - would definitely return."
