Brilliant Massge available at the hotel right on the beach. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. Bit noisy with the motorbikes zooming along at all hours on the street the hotel is on. Alex the guy who helped us check in was rude and off putting from the moment we arrived. The room itself was ok, the beds are hard as rocks. First night there we had dinner on site which was a awful the moment we sat down. There was a child behind us sitting with her parents and she had her ipad playing whatever game so we could all hear it - if you're reading this & you have kids - PLEASE be considerste for the people around you. Buy your child some headphones. For the food, my partners dish came out promptly, I was then left waiting for mine, when I received it my partner had finished. I complained to staff regarding to two photos I have attached and Alex asked ME to contact Expedia and change the details as the wording is misleading. I was beyond angry by now. After a crap 12-24 hours, I asked for a refund so we could go stay somewhere else as we were both were unhappy with the service and the response. Alex offered a room upgrade and I'd like to say things improved, they didn't. The bed was still rock hard, the main wood feature wall has severe water damage, looked like a major health risk with the mould. With the room upgrade we now had a deep soaking spa bath! Lovely! Filled the bath, bubbles in & jets on. The jets spurted old dirty poo water. They have added more beach chairs and we were able to find ones every day. Lunch and dinner are lovely; my Thai friend gave a thumbs up to the food. Breakfast, however is poor. The omelet/fried eggs you request are good, but the food put out tastes funny or is gummy or cold. Coffee and tea taste like they were made together. Fruit is too ripe or unripe. The coconut shakes are made with and put back in real coconuts. The beds are rock hard. They kindly added more and more duvets, but it did not help. I was so happy to get back to my own bed. The rooms are very dark. The spot lighting is poor. Bathroom also poorly lit. Makes taking a shower before bed very atmospheric. The rainfall shower head desperately needs cleaning as the rust has caused several of the water outlets to point is strange directions. The "Massage by the Sea" is very good. They were our favorite massage spot. The wifi signal is very weak. The signal at the Horizon Bar next door is much better. Lo mejor del hotel, su personal, amabilisimos todos. Tambien destacar que las habitaciones disfrutan de unas maravillosas vistas a la playa que queda a pocos metros, por lo que se duerme maravillosamente arrullado por el incesante sonido de las olas. När man först anlände till hotellet möttes man av en stor grå tråkig mur. När man kom in på området så var det så fruktansvärt vackert med havet, stranden, restaurangen och poolen. Personalen här var helt underbara. Som de flesta hotellen i Thailand behöver det rustas upp, samt acn var lite skum, men det spelade ingen roll. Vår vistelse här var helt underbar och vi ville inte lämna efter våra 8 nätter här. Skulle rekommendera detta till alla jag känner som åker till Thailand för att sola, bada, koppla av och äta, maten var kanon. Frukosten godkänd. En definitiva, merece la pena! ##### Juan Jesus ### 10/10 Excellent #### ZHIHUA, 廣州 13 Dec 2015 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### 非常棒的海邊酒店！ 酒店位於klong nin beach，在蘭塔的中部位置，環境非常好！房間乾淨舒適，一開門就是大海，酒店本身有望海的餐廳，景色一流，食物也不錯。泳池雖然小，但非常乾淨，在池邊躺椅上吹吹風，點上一個椰青十分寫意。裡面也有馬殺雞，有個女的手法超正。中部的海灘就是跟saladan的不同，乾淨，漂亮！酒店外面有很多租車的、餐廳、往回點有ATM，7-11。非常推薦酒店附近一間叫Rockey的餐廳，東西好吃，唱歌的樂隊非常棒！如果想要悠閒度假住在這裡再適合不過了！我在這裡四天的時間感覺非常relax，根本不捨得離開！因為我們都是租摩托的，所以基本不會覺得不方便。噢對了，酒店的機場接送服務THB2500，非常公道，我們凌晨機也沒有拒絕過來。如果非要說缺點，就是附近入夜後沒什麼燈，房間裡燈也暗了點！不過這不影響我對這個酒店的喜愛！如果我再去蘭塔，一定會再入住！ ##### ZHIHUA ### 8/10 Good #### Maaike 7 Dec 2015 Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort #### Charmant boutique hotel aan het strand Het Andalay Boutique resort kan ik iedereen aanbevelen. Het is mooi gelegen aan het strand. De kamers liggen om het zwembad dat op zijn beurt aan het strand ligt. The "Sunset rooms" have views over the pool towards the ocean, steps from the beach, and would be my recommendation (No 105/106 are the best view). They are nicely decorated and of good size, in very good condition, just as shown in the photos. The service is universally friendly, attentive and competent. The hotel has only 16 rooms, so it is very private. The beach is clean. The hotel restaurant is good. Of many hotels I have staid at in Thailand on various beaches, this is certainly one of my favourites and I have already recommended it to friends. Vi blev budt velkommen i en lille snavset reception, hvor hotellet kunne fortælle at værelset med havudsigt desværre ikke var ledigt og vi kunne få et med udsigt til haven, kompensation 500 THB !!!. Værelset var ikke ordentligt rengjort og badeværelset stank helt forfærdeligt af urin. Betjeningen i restaurenten var nærmest uvenlig og havde præg af vi kom til ulejlighed. Da vi dad om 2 badehåndklæder til poolen kunne vi kun få et enkelt, da man var løbet tør for håndklæder. Af et hotel til 850 kr i døgnet var jeg lykkelig for vi kun havde booket en enkelt overnatning og kun betalt 550 kr for den. We stayed in the sunset room which overlooked the pool and was literally 5 mins from the beach. So the location is fantastic and would cost 3 - 4 times the price we paid in a European beach or the Caribbean. The bathroom did have a funny musty smell and we could never quite get the air conditioning level just right ( but at least it did work). The staff were very attentive when you needed help and the breakfast is lovely. I would definitely recommend this place to stay for mature couples as there is not much night life but more than enough places to eat and the beach is so peaceful if you just want to get some sun and chill out. ##### Scott ### 4/10 Poor #### Marion, Hamburg, Deutschland 30 Oct 2012 Disliked: Room comfort #### Schlechtes Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis Wir hatten erst nur für zwei Nächte gebucht und waren schnell von der schön angelegten Bungalow-Anlage direkt am Strand sehr beeindruckt, so dass wir ein paar Nächte verlängert haben. Leider begann in der zweiten Nacht das Problem mit dem stinkenden Abfluss im Bad - die Abwasser konnten nicht richtig abtransportiert werden, so dass es ganz furchtbar nach Kloake gestunken hat. Wir sind dann in einen anderen - älteren Bungalow - umgezogen, da war das Problem auch vorhanden, aber auszuhalten... Die Anlage ist sehr schön angelegt, da sich zwischen den Bungalows bepflanzte Wasserläufe befinden. Leider hat dies den Nachteil, dass es dort viele Mücken gibt. Dies wäre mit Mückennetzen einfach zu händeln, die gibt es aber leider nicht. Von Wellnessangeboten war nichts zu sehen. Die Jungs vom Restaurant waren sehr bemüht und freundlich, die Preise für das Essen waren viel zu hoch. Leider wurde an der Rezeption kaum Englisch gesprochen. Cons - REALLY hard bed which the hotel tried to alleviate (at our request) by putting a duvet on the bed under the sheets. Some street noise but it didn't bother us with the AC on. Our hotel room was beautifully decorated, but had a lack of storage. There was only hanging space in the cupboard - not even one shelf - so we were forced to live out of our suitcases for a week. The shower wasn't great, but I think this might be a general problem on the islands as were had similar problems elsewhere. The rooms each have a little veranda which is surrounded by a very pretty pond. This was a little choked up and neglected. I just felt that with a little more effort, by sorting out the above it would take the hotel to the next level.
