"A really lovely quiet stay where birdsong and the occasional chicken or sheep are the only noises you will hear. If you want to get away from it all for a few days yet be well positioned to explore Ludlow and the local area then this is the place for you. A car is a must to get around but there are some nice walks right from the doorstep.The property is well equipped, has everything needed for a perfect stay and is spotlessly clean. There is also a private grass garden with seating. Would not hesitate to stay again if in the area. I would recommend walking Long Mynd from Church Stretton which is a 30 min drive away but well worth it. Clee Hill is nearby and there are wonderful views to enjoy. Also do check opening times and book ahead for local pubs/restaurants for evening meals. "

"Thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay. Room was more than adequate for us, liked the 'last orders' close at 10pm during the week. Evening and breakfast meals were superb, maybe could provide one, or two, extra real ale choices, (but that's just me), and all staff seemed cheerful and happy in their work, especially Becky."

"This is a lovely place to stay. It is just off the M5 in a rural location. A beautiful pub with history. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The food choices are varied and when served, well presented. We will stay again when we are visiting family in Cheshire or Scotland. "It's very close to some of the Iron bridge attractions, close to the river Severn, and within fairly easy walking distance to the town centre. The room we had was a family room, so more than big enough for us. There was no air conditioning, but a large ceiling fan kept the room cool . Food in the restaurant was excellent. "
