This is a lovely quiet each front hotel, we stepped from our door onto the sand. Roo.s are good and the staff were wonderful! We stayed in four hotels in zanzibar, the staff here are exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Hotel even supprised us with a free trip to the 'rock resaurant' and star fish beach! Incredibly family-friendly hotel. Fantastic service - from the head chef to the front house manager to the housekeepers, everyone working to make sure you got what you needed. As a family with 3 small children we very much appreciated this level of attention. Drawbacks were a mediocre kids club and lots of stairs up and down to the rooms. Food and entertainment were abundant and good, but not great. Was fully booked for most of the time we were there but didn't feel crowded.

I am not in the habit of writing personal messages for travel (business or pleasure) that I undertake but in this case I am willing to make an exception. I travelled with my family of 4 to Zanzibar staying at the Neptune resort from July 10 – 23 this year. We just came back from spending 10 days at the Ocean Paradise Resort. Really pleased overall. Our room was large and furnished in an African colonial style with a four poster bed. We really liked our room. Decent a/c and not a single mosquito bite in 10 days. They come and spray your room every night when you are at dinner. Beautiful, lush, green grounds and all the staff are lovely, at reception, in the bars, in the restaurant and the animations team (Hassan was fab) and guest relations...

We had our honeymoon at Meliá Zanzibar and had the best time. What we thought that really made the hotel exceptional was the service, staff, amenities (pools, beach), food and the grounds were all fantastic. We were made to feel very much at home. The staff were all friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They really made our stay very special. We have nothing but fantastic memories of Melia Zanzibar.

The room was cleaned daily, and the evening turndown service was a lovely touch. The staff were exceptional — every single member of the team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail truly exceeded expectations. The spa was the best ever.

Treetop by Eight Continents Zanzibar exceeded all our expectations. It is an excellent choice for solo travellers, couples and families, and in my opinion, this resort is seriously underrated. Wonderful relaxing resort set in beautiful gardens. Very welcoming friendly staff. Excellent food with much variety. Once a week there is a fantastic barbecue served along with a local band playing for everyone to learn some local dances. The bungalows are very most comfortable and very private. There is a wonderful jetty at the beach where you can sit and watch the sunset. Private dining is also available at the jetty or beach. Lovely hotel for couples especially honeymooners.

We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach....

The owner was very helpful and was happy to spend time listening and then giving helpful advice. Always checking to see if everything was good. A very good host. Definitely recommend staying here. Clean and spotless.very friendly
