The room had everything we could ask for! Very clean, beautiful furniture and a great view from the private terrace. The staff were all great! We highly recommend this property!

Close to Downtown are
The staff were very helpful to 5 Americans who were slow going with the language. Close to all things downtown. Our 3rd floor windows were a dream until someone was smoking in the garden below. We knew this going in, staff was friendly and VERY helpful.

Good place
Good place for the price. Parking free and available. Close to city center. Comfort could have been better but that seem to be an overall issue in Europe.

Quick weekend trip
Hotel was really nice, perfect for what we needed. Great location with quick walking distance to the old city. Transit stops are also close by.

The stay and location was really great. Finding parking was a challenge. The bakery across the street was great. I would recommend this hotel

Cute little property that is conveniently located. Super friendly staff as well. The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom. Only one tiny light in there, and too dark to put on makeup. Otherwise great! :)

Nice hotel, missing dark curtains
It’s nice and close to the center but still bit outside and you need to cross several roads first that is not super-ideal. But being in the heart in like 10 mins is still great! Room is OK except of one specific thing: The curtains only cover 2/3 of the window and are anyway useless as the light goes fully through! Having dark curtains (full coverage) is what I would expect for a good sleep.

Wonderful hotel
Clean, spacious hotel in an excellent location close to town center. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Freiburg.

Disappointing
Hotel was next to a busy road. We visited in summer and as there is no air conditioning and there was no fan in the room, we opened the window on the first night - road noise all night meant we go no sleep. We asked for a fan on the second night which we were given but in summer this should already be available in the room. Breakfast was disappointing for the price (not included as standard in the room rate), and there was limited choice by German ‘buffet’ standards. The bread was dry and hard, and all of the speck and wurst had gone by 8:45 so we missed out on the first morning. If you do stay, we recommend you skip the hotel breakfast and stead eat in the lovely bakery across the road.

Perfect for us
We needed an overnight stay close to the Old Town and this was perfect. Clean room, bathroom with bathtub. Very short walk to Old Town. Negatives: no parking, you have to park on street, pay parking meters. Our room was on street side which is quite busy. But overall well worth the price

Good and old
Great location. Some may say needs renovation but it keeps some of the old history of the building and the location (squeaky floors, etc.). This was in easy walking distance of the old town with lots of restaurants, etc.

Very helpful, English speaking reception staff. Large comfortable rooms and bed,took our own kettle. Good WiFi. Very good breakfast selection. Convenient for tram to station and short walk into town centre.

Nice simple hotel in good location
The room was simple, but clean and nice. It was easy to walk around the town from the hotel. The shower was oddly narrow, but worked fine... overall I don't have any complaints, but it also wasn't a particularly great experience.

River + City Traffic = good nights sleep
Perfectly adequate. Room 11 was spacious and is right along the main road. I left my windows open each night and there was lots of noise from the traffic but as I city dweller I appreciated that. What I loved was the sound of the river. Wifi needs to be upgraded. Great location. I would stay again.

Good hotel right by the center of town
Next to a river, bike path and very walkable . In front of cafes, very good location to see the old center of town and etc. etc etc etc etc

Average. We are 4 persons. Room has 1 double bed and 1 couch for 2 persons. The couch is in so bed condition that one can not sleep on it. It has 1 big hole on one end. I made more photos from this couch to report to Hotels.com to complain about it to get some compensation

The location is perfect and check in and check out were very easy and smooth. The room was comfortable though no hair dryer was provided.

Great staff working at a not so great hotel
The hotel location is great and the staff is very friendly. But the hotel itself isn't really good at all. My room reminded me of a cheap hostel with poor bedding and a very flat square pillow. They even gift you one bath towel that they place directly on the bed. Again, it conjured up images of a youth hostel. Definitely the worst hotel I've stayed in for a while in terms of accommodation. If the hotel was 40-50 Euro, it wouldn't be so bad, but they charged as much as the other hotel I stayed in the night before that was literally day and night difference.

Great location, beautiful historical building
We stayed only one night, but enjoyed being close to everything downtown. The building looks really well preserved, and it is nice and modern inside. Our room on the third floor on the Hildastrasse side, was spacious (especially by German standards), bright and quiet. It had everything we needed. Parking can be a bother, but the front desk person was very helpful and we found cheap overnight parking on Hildastrasse. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Nice hotel just outside the old city
We needed a hotel that we could walk to the old part of Freiburg. The room for 3 was very spacious and staff very helpful especially when we had a late night check-in.
