"From the moment we arrived we were greeted by very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff members. Arriving in the hotel was an absolute wow moment that continued as we explored. The features were awesome and a history enthusiast’s dream. Our room was in the newer extension and was modern, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed lunch and drinks in the Laird’s Bar, staffed by an enigmatic barman who made us feel welcomed many times! We also enjoyed a swim, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna in the spa. Breakfasts were great and probably one of the easiest breakfast experiences we have had over our years of hotel breakfasts. We had dinner in Blair’s Restaurant which was tasty and enjoyable with very attentive staff. I enjoyed some time reading in the beautiful garden on a very hot day while husband sat in the magnificent drawing room. Fabulous all round!"
