"First of all, Sarah and Malcolm are the perfect hosts. They always go out of their way to help whenever needed while giving you the space to enjoy your holiday.This was our fifth stay, and that probably says everything about how much we enjoy coming here. Even after several visits, we still find plenty of new things to do and, if anything, we enjoyed this holiday even more now that we know the area better and have our favourite places to visit.We stayed during the early July heatwave. While temperatures at home were approaching 40C indoors, Devon was much more comfortable, with temperatures in the high 20s and far lower humidity. The cottage remained cool throughout the day, making it a pleasure to return to after spending time at the beach or exploring the local area.The location is hard to beat. There are beautiful beaches within a few miles which this year had crystal clear water and other places to visit within easy drives. We particularly enjoy being able to step straight onto the footpaths from the accommodation and walk with the dog and family to Bantham for breakfast before wandering back - stay alert crossing the cow fields and keep dogs on the lead!The cottage itself is comfortable, well-equipped and has everything we need for a relaxing stay. It really does feel like a home from home.We have made some wonderful family memories here over the years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, dog-friendly base."
