Tucked away in a little hamlet, this delightful guest house is a gem of a find. Everything is well maintained, beautifully furnished, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was as good as it gets, all personally served at the table in the large modern kitchen diner. The staff were kind, helpful and with a good degree of local knowledge. There is a hot tub in the garden and just steps away from the local pub which serves good food. We have no hesitation in saying you will be very happy to stay there....

Every aspect was perfect

One of those rare finds that you almost want to keep to yourself so you can always get a room.. :-) We booked only 3 hours before our 2 night stay so options were limited and we were a bit worried we'd be left with what no-one else wanted. I needed a overnight stopover on route to Peterborough, so research i did, i located this hidden gem. If you are looking for an authentic British inn in the modern style look no further. Great village location, superb food, great beer, beautiful rooms, friendly staff and a 'real breakfast'. Intrigued ..go there.

We had a 'superior' room/apartment, and it really was superior. An entrance hall, bedroom plus ensuite bathroom, AND a large sitting room/kitchen. Fantastic. And not noisy despite overlooking Saturday Market Place and being at one end of the High Street. Highly recommend. Gorgeous restaurant and rooms with a beautiful courtyard garden. Perfect for us with two children who were in same building but floor above via internal staircase. Car park just round the corner had to pay separately for but plenty spaces. Bed was fine but could have been more comfortable and slippers would be good but appreciated the robes. Friendly and comfortable - very smart and we'll appointed. I had to leave at 0500 so could not comment on the breakfast but the restaurant was excellent.

Excellent from the start. Breakfast was a full English and i mean FULL.my hubby really enjoyed it. There was a wide choice of alternatives otherwise The evening meals made it hard to choose, never seen a sirloin steak large and cooked to perfection, it was delicious, All the staff were very helpful and cheerful. Top marks to the chef and Sue who made it a nice place to be. Hope to return for a longer stay soon.

Remember to take your own towels, soap and washing up liquid. Traffic noise a bit annoying but other than that all was great.

Great room, small but very quirky and lots of extra touches such as bottled water, fresh milk and KitKats! Just had to remember to duck through door frames. Good sized bathroom and shower plus walk-in wardrobe provided plenty of storage. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Didn’t sample rest of pub food as only stayed one night but the list of desserts was impressive. Will definitely stay again when next in the area.

I stay in a lot of hotels due to business and i picked this one due to location and reviews what a result Fantastic greeting by 2 kadies when i arrived Great room Superb high quality food in the restaurant obviously cooked by a good chef Great service from the waitress and the gentleman behind the bar I would recomend this hotel for business or pleasure to anyone it is worth travelling that extra mile or two to get there.

A pleasant, comfortable hotel. The food was nice and we all (family of 4) slept well. Will definitely stay again.

We had an executive room with balcony and lovely views over the countryside. Food was good and the staff friendly. we only tried the restaurant and that was good. Breakfast on the terrace in the very hot weather was a pleasant experience
