"The staff are excellent really friendly and help in any way they can. The room was really clean and the shower excellent. We tried the swimming pool which was great had difficulty trying out the boat on the lake it needs mending unable to row due to the oars. Breakfast was okay but would have liked more choice for evening meal. Would recommend to friends"

"Had a two night weekend break. Arrived earlier than checkin time but were able to leave the car in the carpark - note there is £15 per 24 hr fee. When we did checkin my partner's birthday was acknowledged and our room was upgraded! Room was spacious. A little worn in places but overall clean and comfortable. Had drinks in the bar but ate out other than breakfast. Breakfast was all buffet style but worked well. Would stay again if returning to the area."

"Beautiful place, rooms are lovely and facilities are great. The only negatives are the rituals are booked on a paper sheet and numbers are very limited, we were there for 2 days and didnt manage to get on a single one even though only 2 of us. Would have been better if I could have prebooked online. Also we needed to leave at 7am but reception was closed and of the 3 numbers only 1 answered, ended up leaving 15mins late which impacted our other activities. Will know for next time as will definitely be going back."

"Myself and a friend stayed here for three days whilst cycling in the area. We were delighted with our stay and were looked after very well by Sue and her team. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable and the food and menu choices were excellent. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"Great place next to nice pub with good food and beer. Plenty of off road parking, spacious and well laid out room with easy chair, desk chair, tea, instant coffee and pod coffee, biscuits and fridge. No breakfast, so take your own. No reception so be aware that you need to provide a mobile number in order to receive a digital key, or chack your emails for instructions on how to retrieve a key card."

"We thoroughly enjoyed a 2 night stay and could not find fault in anything from the room, to the staff to the excellent food. Will make a point of staying again."

"Lovely relaxed place ro stay but we were not expecting a bathrom on the ground floor which was annoying as my partner is disabled. But we slept well and enjoyed the breakfasts. I gave it a 4 as we paid considerably more to Hotel.com than our receipt from the owner showed: over 25% difference which was over £100 and we felt the price we paid was too high. I also did not aske for insurance but was charged for it"
