"Staff in general were very helpful and friendly. Lovely location overlooking the loch. The cooked breakfast was very good. The spa was good, pool long enough to get a decent swim. Jacuzzi and steam room nice too. The only drawback was that the spa only has 4 cushioned loungers so many guests had nowhere to lounge and read their books on busy afternoons, and there was a bit of a scramble when a sunlounger became free. Adequate parking."

"Everything about our stay was perfect. The staff is amazing. The property itself is gorgeous. Felt like we were being pampered and cared for the whole time. "Despite how it looks on the outside, this is a very nice hotel. The outside looks rough and needs some attention, but our room was lovely. If you have heavy luggage, be aware that you have to bring it up several stairs to reach the lobby (there is no ramp or lift - the stairs are the only way). The breakfast was good, the people were pleasant, and the amenities were fine. The standout feature of this hotel is the location. Oban is a really lovely town and this hotel is right across from the harbor."
