"I had the most amazing stay here. Marty greeted me at the reception and showed my my room that had coffee/tea amenities; a big hot tub and TV, large clean bathroom, super comfortable bed and amazing views. They are located just outside of Newcastle; the manager will go as far as providing everyone a lift down to town in a bus if they want to, but the place has a large bar, lounge/snug, stunning grounds and loads of comfortable suntrap seats to relax in so no need to leave! Marty even brought me a chippy from town. Breakfast was also delicious. Couldn’t possibly recommend this place any more, can’t wait to go back. "

"To start with positives, the Staff were excellent, helpful & friendly. I have a walking stick and on checking in the Lady at reception insisted in carrying our bag to the room. Everywhere was very clean. We ate in the hotel both nights. The food was excellent, as was breakfast. However the room was very disappointing. Very small & cramped and the lighting very poor. I could barely see to shave in the en-suite. Despite the good breakfast (evening meals not included obviously) the price charged was too high considering the room. Some of the stairs leading to the rooms had no handrail, potential for a fall and again corridors had very poor lighting. None of this would be fault of the Staff. Despite the excellent quality of food & staff based on room, we would not stay there again."

"Attempted to call the property as required in the booking details as we were going to be a few minutes after the 8:30pm arrival cut-off. No answer. Proceeded to the property anyway and arrived at 8:40pm since the booking said that the front desk is staffed until 10:30pm. There were absolutely NO lights on and the property looked abandoned. The single car in the parking area had flat tires. The reception door was unlocked so we went in. There were NO lights on again. Called out and there was no response. Rang the phone number again and could hear the phone ring down the corridor. No answer. Decided to leave before something tragic happened. Have attempted to contact Travelocity but have only been able to converse with an AI bot that has no idea what I’m trying to communicate."
