There is a warm welcome feeling every time I check in at Hotel Birke. The rooms are nice. The food is realy good and the bar is “cosy”. The pool and SPA is nice and quiet. Hotel is clean all over. There is a friendly welcoming vibe through the entire staff. I love coming back.

Not a family friendly place

We have stayed with hotel Birke last year, which was good. This time however, the experience was very bad. We received a room, where there must have been some admin or the like above. There was a constant movement and the noise was very loud, which made it hard for us to fall asleep. Once asleep, we had the weirdest experience, as a man (likely an employee) barged in our room in the middle of the night. This woke my wife and made her very scared. He ran away and we barricaded the room for the rest of the night. When we talked with the staff about this the following morning, they of course apologised and said it could have been a staff person who entered wrongly. Also the staff in the pool, a gentleman was not really that friendly when he corrected our child, which was being very considerate in the pool. In general the hotel gives a vibe that it has some good/upper class, but in reality the experience was very bad. This is a shame as we had gotten a good expression last year, but this time it was just bad.

Dies war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, bei dem alles gestimmt hat: wir wurden direkt freundlich begrüßt, bekamen ein gemütliches und sauberes Zimmer mit großem Kissenmenü, haben uns in der schönen Saunalandschaft mit Garten entspannen können und sind morgens sehr gut gestärkt in den Tag gestartet. Man merkt, dass beim Betrieb dieses Hotels Profis mit Weitblick und Verständnis für die Bedürfnisse von Gästen am Werk sind. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!
