Booked as a last minute shopping trip accommodation and what a pleasant surprise, hotel was lovely and every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, we went for a special menu at night and had a fantastic meal , Will certainly go back

On the online booking form we requested a quiet room on the top floor and that is exactly what we got plus the added bonus of a lovely view of the abbey and other historic buildings. The hotel is located well away from the main road so no traffic noise. We had a meal in the bistro which had a good variety on the menu, all reasonably priced as were the drinks. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We didn't have breakfast but were told by other guests that it was excellent. I would recommend this...

Girlfriends 24th birthday so we stayed in the junior suite and it is one of the best views and rooms I have ever stayed in.

Check-in was slow and uninformative but every other aspect of our stay was fantastic

Just got home from a weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful... breakfast options were great and swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. My only bad point was the mattress wasnt all that but maybe its be being fussy. Netherless a beautiful place and we will be back in the summer

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price. Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?) If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St. We'll stay here again. Loved it.

Lovely stay . Friendly staff. Plenty of free parking . Quiet and nice rooms . Big spacious room and toilet. Need little improvement while re-servicing the room as my room supplies were not properly re-stocked and replaced. Overall good experience

Hotel and Spa staff were very welcoming and helpful. Chef was amazing cooked a special vegan meal for my daughter each night we ate in hotel, as there was nothing suitable for her on menu. Room was comfortable and we had everything we required (only feedback I would give is that it would have been more useful to have a couple more sockets available). We stayed here to celebrate my husbands special birthday. From the moment we drove up and saw the impressive ship we knew we were in for a special treat. Everything about this place is incredible. This was a great place to stay for our family trip to Edinburgh. The tram station is right outside and only 20 mins ins. We drove and parking was straight forward albeit chargeable at £8 per day. The pool was a real added bonus for our kids after a long day of tourism. Only slight issue for me is our kids are getting older and Novotels concept of a "family" room is starting to look less desirable than the Premier Inns as the sofa bed is tight.
