"We stayed here for a very special ADK weekend where my husband, son, and nephew were finishing their final High Peaks to become 46ers, and this beautiful old farmhouse was the perfect home base for the celebration.It was definitely a splurge for us, but we were so glad we chose it. The house is an absolute gem: beautifully updated and renovated while preserving all the quirks, character, and charm of an old home. It was incredibly comfortable and full of thoughtful touches; plenty of towels and toiletries, coffee, a s’mores bar for the outdoor firepit, great WiFi and smart TV, and a genuinely well-appointed kitchen.I especially loved being able to bring our dog, and the location in Keene was excellent. Being able to walk to the bakery in the morning for coffee with the dog was an unexpected bonus.Stephanie (our hostess) was fantastic. Our plans kept shifting and our guest count changed several times between five and six adults, and she was consistently accommodating, understanding, and easy to communicate with.On our first evening, before the hikers arrived the next morning, my sister-in-law, my nephew’s girlfriend, and I stayed up late enjoying a bottle wine in this wonderful old house. It was such a lovely start to a memorable weekend... we would absolutely stay here again."

The environment is incredibly cozy and comfortable, but the real highlight was the proximity to the water—hearing the peaceful sound of the river all day long was amazing. We also thoroughly enjoyed the sauna, which was a fantastic bonus.The location is ideal because it gives you the flexibility to do as much or as little as you want. To top it off, the owners were wonderful hosts who replied immediately whenever we had a question or a need. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and highly recommend this property!"
