We stayed in the lushna suite and it was a very relaxing stay! It was very clean and comfortable, and a short walk into town. A perfect spot to stay for exploring lake placid and hiking!

We very much enjoyed our brief stay at the Eastwind! We loved the firepit and the complimentary smores kits, as well as the free coffee or tea in the morning. The staff was very friendly and offered advice on local restaurants. We didn't have a chance to use them but they have quite a few bikes guests can borrow, as well as a barrel sauna. We stayed in the house that faced the street - the only thing I didn't like was I could hear the guests on the floor above us walking around and going in and out. The Lusha cabins are wonderful and if we go back we will try to stay in one of those.

We had an amazing experience. It’s in a great location, the rooms were clean and overlooking the beautiful property. The staff was friendly and it was a really nice oasis in the hassle and bustle of life. We stayed in a cabin and it was perfect for stargazing.

We had a wonderful weekend at the Eastwind- it’s a great independent property with very cute, uniquely decorated rooms. We particularly enjoyed the nightly fire pit where we could meet other travelers and make s’mores with the provided kits. The coffee in the morning also provided a great opportunity to gather recommendations for the day from the staff and other travelers. It’s very convenient to the downtown/Main Street area and highways. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Lake Placid!

Was a really cool stay overall! Had a few inconveniences like no standing shower available in the room we had or microwave past 8pm. Feels very outdoorsy which is still nice, very cabin in the woods vibe and refreshing mornings. Assuming previous guest rolled luggage in room and placed bags on the bed runner and it wasn’t cleaned. Had to request clean sheets but staff were pretty responsive and pleasant. Area is great can take a quick trolly to main street for free or even walk.

Eastwind is a very unique property. You are surrounded by nature and the vibe is very European. Rooms have lotsa wood and interesting touches. The pool was super clean and brisk. You're within walking distance (20 min) to lake placid and there's a good restaurant nearby - Sentinel & Station Large bonfires at night w smores and a lovely walking path to a nearby creek. I would have given them 5 stars but my bed was pretty uncomfortable I still would stay there again

Clean but spartan. Room had no TV, no bathroom counter, no hand towels, no coffee pot and access to room was poor. I had to carry my suitcase across gravel driveway and "sidewalk" and up some funky rock stairs. The room had a lot of road noise and I could hear the people in the room above walking around. This "hotel" is just a bunch of refinished old houses on a large lot, so had to walk outside to get to reception, ask for towels, and check out. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Heat worked fine as it was cold outside.

If you are not keen on lake views, this is the best boutique hotel in the area. We plan to visit again and stay in one of their lushna suites. The rooms are great too and with a great antique boutique cute lounge area. They provide marshmallows and all too for guests to enjoy. Enjoyed the firepit and the sauna. Wish the weather was warm enough to jump in to the pool.
