(3 reviews) The Borneo Eagle is an exclusive five star hotel - newly launched. The staff are excellent, facilities good - the only issue we had was the plethora of sand flies which caused a lot of issues sitting outside. We talked to the Manager about this and understand a machine is being shipped to deal with this issue - also the beach on the offside of the hotel was covered with plastic bottles and rubbish, which should be cleared on a daily basis to support the high quality nature of the hotel. Only 1 restaurant for you throughout your stay. But the food were delicious! There is no way to walk out of the resort area. Basically you are confined within the resort compound. The management & staff took very great efforts to preserve and enhance the environment and natural eco system. Well done to the team!!
