I had a great room (Japanese tea room) that had a raised tatami area with excellent tea and a nice tea set. We made use of the tea set our first morning and loved the setting, with a view of the city while we sipped our tasty tea. As wonderful as the hotel is, there is one negative that is a dealbreaker for me, so I will not be back. Tai has the most inefficient elevators I have ever experienced. During busy times, prepare to stand in a long line to get out of the hotel. At checkout, we waited over ten minutes for an elevator. The staff were helpful and polite. The views of 85 sky tower and the Barbour are spectacular from the pool and the main reception area. The pool area is relaxing and also had a live band in the evening which was a nice surprise. The room was comfortable and relaxing, we had a king size room with bath tub and would highly recommend it with a great view. But I think it is somehow justified. Room is spacious, all staffs are friendly amd helpful. Location is excellent. I can see very nice view from my room too. Inside it provides snacks and drinks free. My daughter commented the room is like our home with a feeling of warmth.
