"Good: the views regardless of the room you pay, you’ll still see a good shot of the ocean. The view of Diamondhead from the 3rd floor Pool/Bar area is amazing. Needs work: the rooms are a little dated, the pool is on the smaller side and there is no hot tub. Valet parking was nice but very limited. Overall a 3.5."

"The ocean on one side and Diamond Head on the other… trade winds lull you to sleep and dawn wakes you in warmth….if that appeals to you, this is your place…. If you need space and a resort style experience, this is not. Jan befriends the moment you make contact. She is the type of person who brings Aloha to your time on Oahu. She is communicative, caring and helpful. This studio is recommended for one person or a couple who like each other."

"Very nice studio. Well stocked with beach items and kitchen items. Communication w/ hosts was a little wonky, but ok. Parking not on property, really, but it's ok. Street parking works well and parking on the other side of Kapiolani park is fine. We enjoyed spending time herev and would come again."
A Gem of a Studio at The Diamond Head Beach Hotel

"What a perfect location! Only a short 10-15 minute walk to Waikiki. No need for a car. We walked or took an Uber everywhere - much more cost efficient than a rental car especially with the cost of parking! A convenience store -Russell’s - is very close by and has everything you need for breakfast and lunch items - and much more. We highly recommend The Barefoot Beach Cafe which is very close for meals from breakfast through dinner. They have live music every night. Our favorite is the group that plays Hawaiian music every Friday evening starting at 5:30. The unit, although a bit dated, was very functional and had lots of drawer space for clothes, a comfortable sofa and a very comfortable bed. I loved sitting in the lounge chairs on the lawn every morning reading and looking out at the ocean. The host Mark was very responsive to any questions we had and Patrick at the front desk was wonderful! He is a font of knowledge about everything Hawaiian and so very kind and helpful. He even helped when we had trouble finding the right channel for the Super Bowl; he was able to get the channel for us quickly. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely come back. We hope to!!! This place is well named and truly is a Gem of a Studio!!"
