This resort is in need of some major updates. The buildings are shabby. Staff is nice but restaurant service not great. Best thing is the location. Walking distance to Kona-Kailua. We won’t revisit until updates are made.

OUTRIGGER Kona Resort & Spa
Checkin was smooth, hotel was clean all around. No beach access. Not that many restaurant options for lunch. The pool restaurant took long, food was mediocre.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Kailua-Kona by IHG
We stayed 4 nights, the hotel missed 1 day house keeping. I like the swimming pool but the water was not circulated enough.
