"The hotel was perfect for us as we were able to wingfoil right from the hotel into the harbor. We followed the advise of another guest to upgrade to the new rooms and were happy with our room because it had been just renovated and was clean and had a view of the harbor."
"AMAZING hotel! I went on a solo trip as a pre-birthday gift to myself and chose the Maui Coast hotel for its relative affordability, good reviews, and its close proximity to the beach and other activities. I had an absolute perfect time. As a solo female traveler, I always felt safe in the hotel and just walking around Maui in general. I stayed in an ocean-view room which overlooked the pool and a good view of the ocean. Overlooking the pool ended up being a surprising benefit because you can hear and see the band that plays at the bar, so you don’t have to physically be down at the bar to enjoy the night time ambiance . The rooms are clean and modern and all of the staff were very nice and helpful. While there were definitely families staying there, the property and pool area in particular never felt overrun with kids which was a big plus as an adult looking for some R&R. I also loved Kīhei Caffe and Miso Phat, the two restaurants on the property. I love that the caffe opens early and is a short walk to get breakfast and either eat there or bring back to your room. Eventhough this was my first time in Maui, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on my next visit because this experience was a 10/10. Thank you Maui Coast Team!"
"Hot tub was broken and seems to have been for awhile, obviously this is an important feature to be missing. Some of the extras like chairs and umbrellas are not in great condition, although they were nice to have. The breakfast offerings were fine although I wouldn't call it a bed and breakfast. The kitchen was nice and the bathrooms and showers were good. Our room, the Hibiscus suite, was very nice with a comfy bed and pillows and a mini fridge. The major drawback of the suite is a bathroom isn't very close for use in middle of the night. Overall it's a nice place to stay, a solid 4 stars, but given the lack of a major feature, a hot tub, it lost another star."
"We stayed at the Hilton for three nights after initially staying in Kaanapali. We chose to stay here for the proximity to sites like the Road to Hana and the volcano. The property is currently undergoing construction to expand. We were initially placed in a room that overlooked the construction site, not what we were expecting on our relaxing vacation. We were able to switch rooms the next day and the staff there were wonderful to help facilitate that. The staff were all extremely kind, helpful and welcoming. The first room was very clean, but the shower in our second room had hair in the drain and on the shower handle. We did like the room itself and it was nice to have a kitchen but we felt the room was noisy and didn’t offer much privacy to our neighbors. The rest of the property was nicely maintained. Our two children loved the pool and the waterslide. However, the view of the ocean is lacking and you have to walk across the street for beach access. We did like the proximity to Kihei and Wailea. Overall, we left feeling a little underwhelmed with our stay."
