Here are my observations based on a month-long stay.
NEGATIVE: Inadequate, very worn living room furniture and poor lighting, especially for readers or guests who have to work. All the furniture (except the beds) needs an upgrade. Bedroom dresser drawers are clunky. Living room could use 2 more end tables and lamps. A desk would be helpful. Closet in master bedroom leaked twice when it rained.
NEUTRAL: House faces very busy street, but parking for 2 cars is on quiet side street (corner lot). There is a “back way” to get places when Park Street is congested. Traffic is noisy but backyard pool is quiet. Ceiling fans in every room provide “white noise” to mask traffic sounds. Traffic is due in part to a nearby major shopping mall and other stores and restaurants. Very convenient to just about anything you might need. Living room TV was difficult to operate, but strong WiFi signal. Bathrooms have suction grab bars, but the en-suite bath needs one permanently attached.
POSITIVE: House is spacious and clean with en-suite bedroom on opposite side of house from other bedrooms. Rooms are large. All the beds are very comfortable. Kitchen is fairly well-equipped. The private pool is warm with lots of seating and a grill available. Safe neighborhood boasts Walter Fuller Park close by. We walked daily to the park, around the lake on the paved path, and back—about 1 1/2 miles. If you have a dog, the route takes you by a popular dog park. Property manager Eric is personable and responds almost immediately to texts. He came to the house 2 times to help with the TV setup and once to deliver bath mats and grab bars that we requested. (However, no response to changing 2 burnt out bulbs.)
OVERALL: We had a good month here. The negatives were balanced by the positives.
