Reception area was very nice where you could sit and have a drink. Breakfasts were very nice and the evening meal was particularly enjoyable from the Al la Carte Menu. "This is a beautiful remote mountain lodge with a lot of character and cozy ambience. We chose to walk in from Myrdal which was a bit of a challenge with luggage but added to the experience. The regular availability of coffee and tea in the lounge was a very nice touch. Our large, quiet, and comfortable room had a beautiful view. Staff were friendly and one staff helped us decide on a fantastic hiking route. And we enjoyed the beautiful, very clean sauna afterwards. We enjoyed the dinners and breakfasts we had."

"Very nice and less tourist than the alternative. Staff very helpful including directions luggage storage. What is funny is there is a cruise ship that is parked but it leaves at about 6 pm and you can rally enjoy the beauty."

"The plane was good the location was perfect! I just have to remind myself that customer service can be different in other countries. We were two women with very heavy luggage and weren’t aware that there were many, many stairs to get to our room, with no elevator or assistance available. It was definitely a challenge with our bags!"
