Menlyn Boutique Hotel - service excellence
A beautiful, well kept hotel. The staff are courteous and friendly. The food was exceptional. I would highly recommend staying at Menlyn boutique Hotel.

Beautiful peaceful property. Lovely little gym and amazing breakfast. Love it here!!! Would recommend for work, friends, Romance- it’s a great place to stay in Pretoria. Near US embassy and close to the airport- perfect for global business travelers

Great and comfortable stay!
Convenient location, lovely small and cosy room with spacious bathroom. Little extras like snacks and a mini bar fridge. (Loved the piece of tart placed next to the bed, with the turn-down). Super friendly and very helpful staff. The art everywhere is a special touch. I'd happily stay here again whenever I can get a good rate!

Worth a try
A pleasant hotel with attentive staff and very good food. Some of the rooms are on the side of a high way that runs quite close to the hotel and the noise can be quite something if your windows are open.

hat an amazing find!
What a find!! We had to stay 1 night in Pretoria and thankfully came across the Menlyn!! The artwork and facilities were amazing, we were just sorry that we couldn’t take full advantage. We are in the restaurant and it was a small menu but fantastic food, excellently presented and tasted wonderful! Breakfast, which was included in the cost was the same, you could have had anything including beetroot juice and all the other healthy options. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice hotel and surroundings in general, but I the shower has not been cleaned, there were hairs on the shower floor, and the toiletries half used and open awaiting me. Also make sure you don’t receive the room across from the gym, from early morning you’ll hear people running on the treadmill and operating the machines. Overall not what I expected.

Superb.
The hotel is very well looked after, Modern, Exciting Architecture. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and proper amenities are offered. Rooms have a Nespresso machine which is great. Only negative point was the pillows... honestly didn't find them comfortable!!!! The hotel should invest in a Pillow menu... At the end of the day it goes about how you sleep..... but overall great stay!! Would recommend to anyone!!!!

Misleading description as a boutique hotel
This hotel doesn't know what it should be. It sells itself as a high class boutique hotel, but unfortunately falls horribly short of that aspiration. We booked on the basis of the "image", but on arrival (note no warnings given in advance) we were informed that the restaurant would be closed and there was a private function in the courtyard below our room. This function involved very loud live music. After repeated complaints at 10pm they moved the music inside, but really....this never should have happened. The manager needs to choose - boutique or function venue.. Sadly we have no trust in the management.

Good for Pretoria, not great for anywhere else...
Net-net, the hotel was ok in that the rooms are quite nice, but the location is terrible. Literally nothing around it is walkable. I was placed in a ground floor room, which was definitely less than ideal, not only for safety reasons but also because I quickly learned the walls are thin and could hear everything happening next door... Most annoying was the fact that the guy at the front desk almost charged me for a room that wasn't actually mine (mine was paid through hotels.com but he almost charged me again without seeing that I'd already paid). I'd probably stay here again because I think this is probably the best boutique hotel situation happening in Pretoria but there's a lot that could be improved, particularly on the service front.

Very pleasant and stylish hotel for quiet getaway!
Neighbourhood was a bit of a mess due to all the construction taking place but this does not take anything away from the hotel. Very stylish hotel and had a wonderful stay. Maybe the only downside was the fact that the room was too big for the size of the aircon. The aircon was on minimum temperature all night and it could not be cooled down. Other than that, we had a really pleasant experience.

Nice Hotel
This hotel was very nice and in a good location. Menlyn Mall is close by but not within walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable but rooms can be quite noisy (because of the highway that is close by). The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful.

My experiance with this hotel was amazing. The room was very clean and the service top notch. The food from black bamboo was just as perfect. Just some little not important things out of place. All in all, a great stay.

Espectacular
El hotel es perfecto tanto para estancias cortas de pareja como para estancias largas de negocios. Las instalaciones son muy actuales, el interiorísmo muy cuidado y agradable. El gimnasio es muy pequeño pero suficiente para unos minutos de ejercicio. El restaurante es buenísimo, el desayuno me pareció delicioso y el servicio inmejorable. El menú degustación para cenar es muy recomendable para darse un capricho. Solo puedo decir una cosa mala y es que la ventana de mi habitación no cerraba al 100% por lo que se oía bastante una fuente que hay en el parking, pero supongo que no será un problema en el resto de habitaciones.

Très bien mais peut mieux faire sur le service...
L'hôtel demande quelques réfections à certains endroits. La chambre est très confortable mais il y a des odeurs nauséabondes d'égout devant notre chambre... et qui s'infiltre a l'intérieur. Le restaurant se veut gastronomique (avec des portions riquiqui) et des prix beaucoup plus chers qu'ailleurs. Cependant, le service est loin d'être à la hauteur. L'endroit est sécurisé. La piscine est très propre et nous avons pu y prendre notre verre de vin ! Très bien.
