Nice one.

It's good to stay in a location where food, path station, and for short time travel and move on to find your apartment search is good. Rooms are pretty much good.

Hotel needing major renovations

Posted 15-Nov-2016
Reserved through Expedia. The first room I got was in the basement, very dark and low celling. I asked for a different room and got charged an extra 45$, for a room beside the elevator. Also, I was concerned about the recommended parking. All in all, go somewhere else.

It's a friendly, warm and homely hotel.

Pros: The staff are friendly. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is good. Overall it is a good inexpensive place to stay.
Cons: One thing I feel should be looked at is the wastage. New bars of soap everyday. Plastic knives and forks and cups chucked in the garbage daily. No recycling facilities whatsoever. I was shocked at how much is wasted. I would say to the point of being uncomfortable.
Location: Lots of shops nearby. No real entertainment nearby butter plenty of transport networks and a pleasant walk into other parts of the city.

It is of good value.

Posted 05-Nov-2016
Pros: The size of the room, the facilities for doing laundry -- they have four washers and dryers.
Location: The grocery stores are nearby, but there are not too many restaurants around but a number of fast food restaurants.
The room is spacious. In addition to a washroom, it has a separate area for the kitchenette, but there is no stove or anything to cook. They, however, provide a microwave oven.

decent

Pros: room size and cleanliness.
Cons: Bathrooms and wifi
Location: lots of stores and restaurants.
The bathroom was cramped. Using the toilet was awkward and uncomfortable. I don't think a larger person could even use it. The wifi was slow. Otherwise the room was clean comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good. There are lots of restaurants in close proximity. I would stay again.

A short stay

Posted 16-Sep-2016
Pros: Very close to the Journal Square PATH train.
The hotel was booked for one night as an intermediate stage between leaving my apartment and moving. The room (kingsize bed) was lovely. Very large and airy. The only negatives were that I couldn't get the wifi to work (and since I was only there a few hours, I eventually figured that it didn't matter enough.) and also that the key card machine was malfunctioning when I arrived... so every time I left, I needed to get a staff member to let me back into my room. That was, however, fixed by the time I left.

Used as overnight stop on way to see statue of liberty. Served that function fairly well. Difficult to drive to. No on site overnight parking, but public garage one block away.

Price is quite reasonable as compared to hotels in Manhattan. Facilities are not bad.
