Room was clean and updated. It was a time share property but we were not pressured into buying so that was nice. Did have a few issues with the room key but that was it.
We’ve taken a lot of vacations with our kids over the years and this is our favorite resort so far. They have everything right there and if you need something particular, Walmart is 2 minutes away. We spent most of our vacation at the resort because it was so relaxing. Our kids played tennis and spent their days paddle boating, playing putt-putt golf, and riding the water slides. They also have a wave pool and plenty of lounge chairs. It’s just an amazing resort. I will let you know that while the pools are free, the waterpark is an additional $25/per person per day unless you’re a timeshare owner.
The pools are probably the best part of the property and are wonderful; water is clean and nearly perfect temp (at least in late March) and the chairs, tables and flat areas is great shape. The hot tubs are also nicely warm. There are several pools and a wave and slide area. There’s also a large adult only pool, but it’s a bit of a walk to get there. In another pool area there’s a river in triangle shape, it’s not very long but on hot days it’s probably not too bad to get cooled off in.
The condition of the property is good but showing a bit of age in places. We had a ground floor king room with bar sink, micro fridge, coffee maker and toaster. The fridge didn’t seem to shut off and would promptly freeze everything in it, even set to lowest setting.
The shower was great, water hot and didn’t have to wait for it. The large tub was good but drain liked to leak. Carpet looked fairly clean but walking bear footed would produce dirty feet.
On ground flour there was a couple rather noisy A/C units just outside our room, so noise sensitive sleepers will want to request a room not on the ground floor or not next to a/c units. But some buildings use split a/c that were very quiet, probably just bad luck in our case.
Overall Westgate was 4+ but the room we had wasn’t ideal, others probably are.
There is no daily or every two day room service, the rooms are serviced once a week but new towels and consumables are available upon asking.
There’s a wonderful, safe walking side.
I loved this resort. A few things to note: it is a cashless resort. I was not fond of the daily service fee for use of the amenities on the property and you had to pay an extra $20.00 to go to the Treasure Island area where the lazy river was. There are 7 lovely, clean pools to use. There is a very convenient transit bus to get around the property. You are not able to rent a kayak or canoe to use on the lake. I was also surprised that there were not more restaurants or places to eat on site. I guess most people drive elsewhere. Gift shop lovely. Large Walmart within walking distance ( about 30 minutes). Property is well maintained and clean and very safe and well lit at nighttime. All employees were friendly and helpful. The spa prices are higher by $20.00 on Fridays to Sunday, same service. There is a "Spa" button on the in room phone but the line is always busy and never can get through to book an appointment, but if you use your own cell phone, they answer immediately. There are sales personnel trying to sell timeshares. Rooms are clean. Everything in great working condition and if there is a problem, someone comes and helps right away. Great for families. Security is present on property. I would definitely visit this resort again. I consider it a 6 Star Resort.
The staff was extremely friendly and courteous when I arrived and remained very helpful throughout my stay. The facility I found to be very old in decor and in need of serious upgrade. The room had torn and very worn out furniture, but the bathroom and shower were clearly updated and very nice. The elevator was very dirty and remained so throughout. The adult only pool was nice until a ton of kids came and the adult only was never enforced. I did like the boardwalk to the small island hut and I spent my mornings there enjoying the beautiful view and the lake view. The facility is a member owned facility and not nearly as nice as others I have stayed out. Again, cleanliness has a lot to be desired and it badly needs a refresh.
Room was like a condo apartment with everything you need to feel comfortable

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
This was our third time staying at this property, it was immaculate as usual and the room clean and well stocked and the a.c worked great. Most the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The ice machines were no longer working but they did have someone deliver our room some ice in a timely manner. My only issues were the bartender at the covered bar in the water park made me get up from my seat at the bar to stand in a line to order another drink, also the jets were not working at the hot tub closest to the main lobby and the staff we told were uninterested and unwilling to help, besides that a great experience!
I loved the array of pools and how quiet this location was in January. I was attending a conference and didn’t plan to spend much time at the hotel. It was perfect for the time I did spend there! I loved the onsite pizza shop, little convenience store, and all the offered activities. I would 10/10 stay here again.
Great property. It rained the entire week we were there so we didn't get to use the pools. There actually isn't much to do there on a rainy day. But overall the stay was good and we'd consider doing it again. Just not in March.
The adult pool was a welcome oasis from the busyness of the other pools. The room was spacious and the kitchen had the essentials needed to cook meals. The room was clean and quiet.
This is a very family friendly resort. They have everything a family would need for an awesome vacation in Orlando. The villa was very nice. Comfy bed. Nice jacuzzi tub and separate shower and toilet area. Kitchenette is well equipped. Fridge and microwave are nice. Large patio. Beautiful pools. The only thing I would change about my stay is that the adult pool have a bar and people without children are placed closer to that adult pool.
