My husband and I were traveling alone but having a mean twice a day I didn't have to worry about made our stay that much better. The kitchen staff joked with my husband about his sports teams. Lisa and Colton were so friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back in July. "

"Great shrimp tacos and chicken tenders, family enjoyed their quesadillas too. Stayed in Americana building 6 with Volcano Bay view, beautiful and clean. Facilities gates were hard to open with hotel key, family could not get several gates open throughout stay which was frustrating. Others also having issues. Walking path to city walk convenient. Housekeeping came every other day to just make beds and give more towels and coffee. Didn’t get more wash cloths second time they came. Poolside great, lots of towels too out there and chairs. "

There are several miles of trail, some are closed because of flood conditions, and a couple sections of boardwalk planks. There is a great variety of terrain from sawgrass marshes to pine flatwoods, bay swamp and oak hammock. The Fallen Log Crossing and Osprey Overlook trails are the must see parts of the preserve. You might luck out and see an osprey or eagle, or even a gopher tortoise.
