"As somebody who has been visiting Harrs for 50 years but finding prices in the places we know so well rising beyond our means for every visit, this was perfect. Lovely house with loads of space for 4 adults, large living room, large well equipped kitchen and that amazing view from the dining room and living room. Less famous than Luskentyre and Seilebost, Northton is a great place to stay with amazing views, four deserted beaches in easy reach as well as wildlife (we saw otters, golden eagles and porpoises) and the Temple Cafe is a lovely wee daytime local overlooking the salt marsh, serving the best coffee ever and will also do you a wee Harris G&T. Highly recommended place to stay."

"I had a really lovely week here and the host and neighbours were so friendly and welcoming. The cottage was lovely and cozy, and the bottle of wine, After 8's and biccies were a lovely welcoming touch. The scenery, both from the cottage and beyond is breath-taking. I hope to go back next year."

"This is a truly beautiful home in an incredible location. The home is so spacious and is well set up for a very comfortable stay. The setting--literally at the end of the road--offers peace and quiet along with incredible views, and it is fairly central for day trips to the island's sites. Marie is very quick to respond to inquiries and provide helpful information and advice."

Views from the large picture windows are fantastic, at the end of a track but still close to Tarbert. Ideal location and very comfortable and clean cottage. Would recommend, lovely and peaceful."

"First time on Harris and Lewis and really enjoyed the house. It has its quirks (first holiday home ever with an over abundance of storage!) but was spacious and spotless. Had to reset the heating on the first night due to no hot water (the island suffered a total blackout the night before and knocked it out) but the hostess replied immediately and the problem was solved in minutes which was a huge plus. Recommended for anyone visiting the area"
