Top Ipswich Hotel Reviews

Muthu Belstead Brook Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Starting to look a bit tired and chintzy, think 80s curry house crossed with a a 90s golf club. Whoever is the designer of the interior and brand needs to step back and allow someone with fresh eyes to have a go, it has great potential"

Novotel Ipswich
8/10 Good
"Excellent location for Ipswich Town centre and the marina, no problem parking in the car park. The room was clean and comfortable with good facilities, bath, shower TV, tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was a buffet with a reasonable selection of hot and cold options."

Best Western Ipswich Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We have always found our stays at the hotel to be good ones. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, parking plentiful and breakfast offers a good choice of food. The hotel is a busy one and there are signs of wear and tear and so would benefit from a makeover, but that does not take away from it being a hotel well worth booking a stay at. We do recommend this hotel to people."

B&B HOTEL Ipswich

"Nice hotel -room good, food good - could do with a few more car park spaces"

St Nicholas Hotel

"Rooms were good but the heating was stuck on maximum temperature"

Best Western Claydon Hotel

"Great hotel, clean friendly lovely food and service"

Delta Hotels by Marriott Colchester
10/10 Excellent
"I couldn't fault this stay (aside from paying 8 pounds for parking on top of the room). The room was good value for money, excellently appointed with comfortable beds and a lovely modern bathroom. It was also very quiet in spite of being near to a main road. The hotel has a modern feel and feels fresh and bright. The staff were superb - all very friendly and welcoming. A big shout out to Holly who was exceedingly warm, kind and helpful. The pool and gym were great - pool was warm, not busy, lovely to do laps in, and the gym was quiet. Really great short break from London and I look forward to coming back again."

Mermaid, Ipswich by Marston's Inns
8/10 Good
"Great spot, easy to drive to. Rooms good size, we had a twin room with 2 single beds which looked like they were usually fastened together to make a double. Singles quite narrow."

Salthouse Harbour Hotel and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous location right on the harbour, with its own private car park too. Excellent service from the moment we parked up with a very friendly porter who helped bring all of our luggage up which was a brilliant help when travelling with a toddler! The communal areas, lobby and restaurant etc were exceptionally decorated to a high standard. We had a standard room which although it faced side on towards the car park still had a nice outlook towards the harbour. The room had plenty of space for us and our cot with room to still move around. The fan was also very much appreciated given the heatwave. The bed was very comfortable and large and it was handy having botha bath and shower. The bathroom did seem quite dated in comparison to the ground floor style, the bedroom itself was ok but still could be a bit more modern and the carpet had a couple of large stains. The breakfast was lovely and service outstanding throughout. All of the staff were so very friendly. We'd certainly return and hope to try the restaurant next time too! Quite busy traffic getting to the harbour area and the parking could be quite tight. Worth keeping windows closed so you don't get awoken by the glass bin collection trucks early in the morning (no fault of the hotel of course). Overall a great stay."
