Beautiful hotel and clean. Staff were very friendly and would take their time to talk with you while serving you.

Absolutely fab stay. Maybe a bit more expensive than it should be for what’s offered. Room was bigger than expected and very clean. Wardrobe was small but it did the job for one night. Lighting was quite poor for getting ready and the vanity mirror is far too high to be useful. Bathroom was small but the shower was big and very good pressure. Basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel) are provided. Tea and coffee also provided in the room. No parking on-site but there is a car park...

Fantastic room and service, well presented and adapted to the government’s pandemic guidelines. Jessica was incredibly welcoming and clearly loves her work. We just wish we’d stayed longer.

I have stayed at lots of hotels. I would recommend this hotel for the friendly staff who put my wife and myself as their family and did a very good job of looking after us.I would go back there when we got back to Dundee. Everything was perfect: quiet; gorgeous room with large ensuite; fabulous breakfast; fast internet; close to water in Dundee; lovely 12miles drive to St Andrews. Best value for money and definitely a high end 4*. Would come back to Scotland just to stay here again.

Great location, beautiful artwork, facilities of a 5 star hotel in a homely guest house. Local produce at breakfast and a well stocked honesty bar. Hosts are attentive and lots of information for travellers. Can’t wait to return.

This a lovely welcoming home in a beautiful natural rural location. The bedroom (and the whole house) was very comfortable with antique furniture and a nice collection of antique nick nacks and art. The mattress on our bed was on the firm side which may not suit everybody. All in all it was a very nice change from the usual utilitarian spaces. The owner is very thoughtful and responsive, and the breakfast choices were healthy fresh and delicious.

We were checked in on arrival by a friendly receptionist who was professional and helpful. The hotel was spacious with an amazing view of the golf course. The food in the restaurant was very nice. Congratulations to all the staff who worked hard to make our 2 night stay relaxing and enjoyable.

The fort is the most lovely hotel with the loveliest staff they went above & beyond meals were amazing 💖
