This review would have been a 5* had it not been for the noise during the night. The hotel is attached to a shopping centre with bars/restaurants. So depending on what side your room is, I would be woken up at gone midnight with the emptying of rubbish/bottles, at 6am with deliveries and Lorry’s beeping and shortly after the bin men. I’m not a light sleeper either! Ask for a room on the quiet side - I wish I’d known! The positives - great staff - esp Rem (sorry if spelt wrong!) who was so helpful on the front desk, the staff at breakfast were really friendly, the bar and views are fab! Hotel is spotlessly clean. And a great location just a two minute walk from the old town.

Every aspect was excellent. Most impressive was the breakfast. The buffet was extensive and the food and service five stars. One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.

Close to the train station, part of a mall and a very centrally placed hotel.. a lot of eating options around. The hotel in itself is quite good and very comfortable.

Loved my stay at the Penz Hotel! It’s located by the mall and the shopping streets, the staff were nice and breakfast was amazing with amazing staff taking care of you! Will definitely book this hotel when I visit Innsbruck in the future!!

Perfect location and spacious rooms. The staff were polite and helpful. I wish they kept the door to the mall open all the time. It would helped us during the rains.

The location is perfect for visiting Old Town. Everything is within walking distance. Staff was wonderful and location is very clean and safe. Parking was easy in the underground garage.

Stayed here 3 nights. It was a great location in the center of things. The room was well organized and clean. On the 3rd night we had to move to a smaller room which was fine, but this room was over the recycle bins which bothered my partner. She wrote a one star review because of this which I thought extreme. I think this hotel was great.

This was a great hotel. Beautiful room, friendly service, nice view from the hotel bar, and a delicious breakfast in the morning. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

The hotel is very nice. The room was well appointed and had fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Staff were super friendly and helpful. There is a roof top bar that was beautiful and overlooked the mountains. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as the price was 25 euros per person..a bit high for breakfast in our opinion. Parking is super convenient and the hotel front desk will validate at a lower cost. Overall, The Penz is a highly recommend from us. Loved our stay.

Recommended hotel
Fabulous hotel in the heart of Innsbruck. short walk from the airport bus stop, plenty of local amenities around, right next to old town and the sights, but quiet enough. Check in was quick and the staff friendly. Room large with all the amenities (coffee, filled fridge). Roof top bar reasonable and spacious. Overall a very pleasant stay and recommended.

Billed as a 4x Hotel, but felt let down bearing in mind the price. - no plug sockets next to bed - noise from bar outside bedroom - There was noise from the bins being collected at 7am outside the room. - noise from 7am from rooms above that we're being cleaned. - lights in bathroom flooded the entire room because there was a pane of glass between room and bedroom. - no complimentary water in room. When asked they seemed very reluctant. They eventually agreed to provide but they gave sparkling water when we asked for still. - Television only had German and no English, all other hotels we stayed in on our trip (5 others) had the option for English where the program was dubbed. - No one collected or offered to help with our bags which is standard for a 4* hotel.

Clean Modern Hotel located adjacent to the Historic central district. The roof top lounge a great feature. The modern Underground parking garage (accessible by hotel main elevator) is very convenient for persons touring Austria by car.

Parking is available right beneath the hotel with an elevator up to the floors. This Penz Hotel is located close to Altstadt and many great restaurants. The staff is very helpful and friendly! Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed! We are very pleased with our stay here.
