It's easy to start hiking from the hotel or get downtown with a bus. There was a finnish sauna which in our finnish opinion was actually quite good. Hot, as it should be, and water to throw on the stove. Hotels location was perfect. It was just a few minutes from tramstation, buss stop was near by and a walk to the lift to Patcherkofel wasn't far away. I enjoyed a nice beer before going into the restaurant where the Wiener Schnitzel was excellent, and very large! The bus stop is in front of the hotel. Igls is a beautiful, peaceful Tirolian town and the hotel is located perfectly in the heart of it. And only 10 minutes bus ride to mountain Patscherkofel’s cable car! Hotel is a classic style place with really nice atmosphere. Our superior was huge with a balcony with breathtaking views. Laundry service was nice but expensive. Even locals dine in the hotel’s restaurant: unfortunately not well suited for vegetarians or special diets.
