A good little hostel
Located on the outskirts of Innsbruck the hostel is relatively easy to get to. From the central station you just walk around the corner and catch the number 3 tram (heading for Amras). After a few stops you get off at `Pilippine-welser strabe’ and then walk for about ten minutes. Incidentally, if your flight is a morning one, don’t turn up at the hostel in the hope of an early check-in as there is no receptionist until 14.00. So unless you want to sit outside and twiddle your thumbs you would be better off placing your bags in one of the rail station lockers and having a look around the city. Our room was small and basic (no television etc.) and our allocated bathroom was across the corridor. But it was all high spec and, in keeping with the rest of the hostel, spotlessly clean. The receptionists were polite, knowledgeable and helpful (don’t forget to ask for your welcome card which gives you free travel on the trams and buses within the city). Breakfast was more than sufficient to keep us going for most of the day, although some might feel that the choice on offer a bit limited. Should we ever return to Innsbruck we’d be happy to stay at the Marmota again.

Used the marmota to go snowboarding in the region, it ticked all the boxes I needed . Cracking view from my window and such easy access to public trans( less than 5 mins to the tram) will be staying there again soon

Clean, relatively close to the city centre, but overpriced. No shower gel. The wi-fi connection is apparently strong, but unreliable. You have to pay for the parking, or you can park on the streets nearby if you are willing to move the car before 9am. But the really annoying thing is that, in order to appear cheaper than they are, they charge you 7 euros for the breakfast as "taxes", even if you don't want to have breakfast. (By the way, the small buffet is ok but not worth 7 euros.)

Excellent value, helpful staff
Staff very helpful, nice breakfast selection available. A bit out of the way but near the Schloss and a tram so quite accessible from Hbf. Great views. And yes, they speak very adequate English.

Comfortable stay
It was a comfortable stay for us. The check-in was quick and the staff were very friendly. Room was clean and with plenty of space. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast a lot as well!

Clean place, very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, comfy beds, good location- close to the highway. They also have a bar with local beer! Excellent value for money. Highly recommend!

Off the beaten trail--close to Schloss Ambras
Off the beaten track, but easily accessible by tram and nestled right behind the Schloss Ambras park (so great for walkers), Marmota Hostel is a perfect place from which to explore Innsbruck, as a one-day transport pass lets you ride all over the city and outskirts. I was very happy with nearly everything about my stay: the staff, the breakfast, the cleanliness. My only minor issue was that there seems to be a big gap under the door as I heard the loud outside doors when people returned, and I also smelled somebody's smoke (they must have been smoking in the hall?) This problem could be easily remedied by providing a vent/draft blocker for the door. But all in all I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you for everything!

A good place to stay
Perfect for what we needed. Within walking distance of the train station, the room was clean, bed comfortable and the shower hot. The check in was easy. There is a small bar and food available on site. Breakfast was very good.

The bathroom is separated from the bedroom, you have to exit. Lock your room, walk, unlock your bathroom etc... Parking is not free unlike shown, it is 7€. Blood stains on the bedsheets. Breakfast is very little and bad. So yes it is an hostel, for that I will accept the noise of all the kids they host. It is a good hotel for a cheap stay on school trip with kids

Dear Guest, I believe you booked a Double Room Economy- that's why the bathroom was outside the room. The regular double room has bathroom inside. There is no information about free parking (only the city parking is free 19-9 and on weekends).We are sorry for other inconvieniences, but we hope, taht you give us a second chance in the future!

Für die schnelle Übernachtung ganz ok. Die Abluftanlage vom Bad(?) war allerdings etwas laut und störend. Matratze war mir zu weich. Und kein TV im Zimmer.

Schönes Hotel freundliches Personal. Leider war das Badezimmer nicht direkt im Zimmer sondern nur über den Flur erreichbar... Lage ist okay ausser das diverse Friedhöfe und das Krematorium sowi Bestattungsgeschäfte in unmittelbarer nähe sind was ja nicht jedermanns Sache ist.

Nette Unterkunft unweit der Autobahn
Das Marmota bietet ein ordentliches - wenn auch etwas schmales - Bett und es ist sauber. Die Zimmergröße ist in Ordnung. Was fehlt ist ein TV. Übernachtete im EZ im EG. Die nahe Autobahn war nicht zu hören, wenn man mit dem Auto anreist, gibt es sehr gute Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Hostel. Überraschend umfangreich war das Frühstück!

Unser Aufenthalt hat unsere Tage in Innsbruck perfekt gemacht. Preis/Leistung war durch das zuvorkommende Personal, Sauberkeit, Frühstücksbuffet hervorragend.Das Bergpanorama von der Terasse aus hatten wir nicht erwartet. Wir genossen es zu Fuss zum Schlosspark Ambras zu gehen und mit der Strassenbahn schnell im Stadtzentrum zu sein (ca. 10 Minuten). Wir hätten hier auch ein Fahrrad ausleihen können. Wir waren also rundherum zufrieden im Hostel.

Hotel non flessibile nelle prenotazioni, si sono accorti dopo due ore e mezzo che avevo dimenticato il portafoglio in stanza, sono dovuto tornare sperando che ci fosse qualcuno e me l'hanno messa come se fosse un grosso regalo. Non ci sono ristoranti nelle vicinanze, non ci tornerò più

เป็นโฮสเทลที่ดีเกินคาดมาก มีห้องน้ำในตัว สะอาด พนักงานบริการดี ข้อเสียคืออยู่ไกล เลยต้องนั่งแท็กซี่ และไม่มีลิฟต์ อาจจะลำบากวันที่ Check-in, Check-out
