"We stayed here for a short break with the family. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack from the owners and was really impressed with the lodge. Its location was perfect for places to visit, we went to Bamburgh castle, Berwick, Alnwick gardens and Holy Island in the time we stayed. The accommodation was spacious, clean and warm on arrival, with the log burner as a welcome extra. We would definitely recommend for a family getaway and would stay again in the future."

The rooms are reached through a series of corridors and it is up and down. The decor was dull and the room needs more lighting, especially the bathroom. Overall it felt like a guest house from 20 years ago. The food was average, breakfast being the worst selection of warm (not hot) food I've had for a long time....
