We had an amazing time at North End Cottage celebrating a family birthday.

We had an amazing time at North End Cottage celebrating a family birthday. Firstly it is absolutely beautiful, the layout was brilliant for our group, grandparents- parents-two small boys and a dog. We were able to all be together across the dining room/sitting room and kitchen. It truly was a home away from home and we could not believe all the extra touches including complete kitchen to cook big breakfasts and tea’s and even our dog was not left out with dog towels/blankets to use if needed. The beds were all so comfy, each of the rooms are decorated lovely and our boys especially enjoyed the hall lights/torches for moving around in the evening. We only stayed three nights but wished it had been longer. We will definitely look to book again. The hosts were very responsive and helpful in advance and throughout our stay. We explored local Anglo Saxon museum/whisky distillery in Wooler and local shops in Alnwick, had we had longer we would have certainly visited Chillingham Castle and Gibside National Trust

We absolutely adored our stay here.

We absolutely adored our stay here. The location is perfect and is close enough to things you need and stunning walks. The cottage is so well kitted out and has everything you need including an air fryer which we felt was a game changer. The house was cosy, warm and comfy. The garden is stunning the only thing I would say is if your dog is likely to escape the front gates made us nervous as that's what encloses the garden. There is building work going on next door and it woke us up each morning around 8am which was a shame. But I think when the house next door is finished being built it will be tranquil.
