The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about significant changes to how we travel. If you're planning an escape to Ile Grande, the following tips will help you navigate travel's newest challenges:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking your flight. Also check if there are any conditions you'll have to follow on arrival, such as installing a contact tracing app.
• When you go through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be required to lower it briefly for identification purposes. Passengers who refuse to wear a face mask may be denied entry or boarding.
• Instead of handing a TSA officer your boarding pass, place it directly on the reader yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA now permits passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on luggage. This will have to be removed from your bag and submitted for screening.
• Remove personal items from your pocket, like your phone, keys and wallet, and place them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to touch and inspect your belongings.
