The best times to visit Ichikawa are during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November), when the weather is most pleasant for exploring.

Spring in Ichikawa is particularly beautiful as the city, like much of Japan, comes alive with cherry blossoms. The temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 10°C to 20°C, making it comfortable for outdoor activities such as visiting the Ichikawa Zoological Park or strolling along the Edo River. This season is ideal for families who want to enjoy nature and outdoor spaces without the intense heat of summer.

Autumn also offers excellent weather, with comfortable temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. The foliage transforms into stunning reds and golds, especially noticeable in areas like the Ichikawa Botanical Garden. This period is superb for couples seeking a romantic getaway, as the cooler air and colourful landscapes create a serene backdrop for exploring temples and enjoying local cuisine.

While summer (June to August) can be hot and humid, it's still an option for those who don't mind the warmth, especially if your plans include indoor activities or evenings out.
