Very convenient to access the castle early, and let me tell you, that's worth it. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is worth it, if for no other reason, than their homemade almond butter. Follow the instructions for deliciousness. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We didn't have any problems and the staff were helpful. The bed was too firm, as it tends to be the case in most places in Japan. For breakfast there wasn't any western option, it was all rice, noodles, meat, etc. I understand that this is how they eat breakfast in Japan and I don't mind eating some of it but given that hotels are for tourists, it would be good to have 1 or 2 cereal, a fruit salad and some pastries at least. It was at walking distance to Himeji Castle and a shopping centre. Even though I arrived shortly after midnight, the staff were helpful and courteous. I found the room to be clean and comfortable with all required amenities. I speak a little Japanese, so I am unsure about other languages spoken by the staff.
