But it proved an inspired choice... a real gem of a hotel. Perfectly located for shopping and bus stop 9 for tours. Lovely hotel... great breakfast and really good restaurant with excellent food. Room a little small but not an issue as we spent so little time in it. Clean with good facilities. Excellent value for money." Loved the new refurbished room and bathroom during my latest stay. Very clean, great breakfast, friendly staff. The new bathroom needs hooks for clothes/towels and a bath towel for the floor as it gets wet when showering, but other than that everything was great. Two extremely minor nitpicks: \* The church next door rings bells frequently. The sound isolation in our room was ok, but we still heard them at night. Hotel did provide earplugs. \* The TV was small and pretty barebones - only live TV and a "pay per view" app. You can connect other devices with an HDMI cable, but it's not as nice as being able to sign in to your own streaming apps." Overall, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend to any family or friends that are visiting Reykjavik.
