A Gem of a Hotel for The Budget-Conscious

For the budget-conscious, you absolutely will strike gold with this gem of a hotel. The service was fantastic, from the receptionist who greeted me to the manager who helped me exchange money (at a rate very close to the actual exchange rate and no extra charges), and the person who laid out breakfast for me. My suitcase was carried to my room and out of the building when I left, which I was grateful for as it was rather heavy! I was also given plenty of good advice for where to go to eat out as well. The room was simple but perfectly acceptable for a short stay - clean towels, a very comfortable bed, working air conditioning and a fridge. The water needed to run for a few minutes so it was clear to wash my hands, but no concerns as I wasn't going to drink it! Didn't try the shower. Breakfast was simple but sufficient - yoghurt, bread rolls, jam, cream cheese, boiled egg, orange juice and water. I was encouraged to take extra water whenever I wanted as well. The only comment I would leave for future guests to be mindful of is that there is no lift, so if you have any accessibility needs it probably wouldn't suit you. I cannot thank everyone enough for the service, attentiveness and care I received during my stay. It is not The Ritz(!) but I would recommend the Canary Hotel and would stay again without hesitation!

A nice, clean hotel to stay. The members of staff are kind and welcoming. They offer a good range of activities and services at a great price. The hotel is located in a great location not far from Hurghada City Centre. We enjoyed staying at Canary hotel and Highly recommend.

Nice Budget Hostel in a busy residential area

It’s a nice budget hostel if you like to stay in a busy and non touristy area. suff are very friendly and helpful. You can go places on foot like a nice mall within 5 mins walk. Area is busy but not touristy.

We had a triple person room so it was the end of the corridor, it was not that noisy. Beds are comfort. Wifi sometimes not work. We also booked a tour at hotel overall is good.

Hôtel vieux , petite chambre et très petite salle de bain , dans 1m2 il y a douche, wc , lavabo , vous prenez la douche sur le wc, on est en janvier, le vent passe par les fenêtres qui ne ferment pas + autour de la machine à air conditionné, il y fait très froid , il faut prendre sa douche vers 14h après il fait trop froid .Endroit très bruillant tout le temps , le petit petit-déjeuner est très sommaire , 1 oeuf cuit dur , 1 yoghourt, 4grs de confiture, 2grs de beurre , 1 café ou 1 thé et 2 minis pains , mauvaise adresse , je n'y reviendrai jamais , de + j'ai réservé sur Hôtel. Com avec soit disant un prix secret , pour 4 jours , le lendemain sur le même site il était beaucoup moins cher ...!!! ??? Pas normal...!!!

This is probably the best budget option I have found in Hurghada. Very clean place with a kindly older gentleman who owns and runs the place and watches over all the goings on with meticulous care. I had a clean, comfortable room with AC and was pleasantly surprised by the nice boiled egg, bread, jam, cheese and tea/coffee choice for breakfast. Most importantly, I felt completely safe here as opposed to a few other budget options in Hurghada frequented by questionable characters and surrounded by bars, etc. Location is good. Great value for the money and very nice, helpful staff!
