Perhaps the hotel is new because it was in perfect condition. The room was large, modern and comfortable. Location perfect for the city centre, but best be on foot.

Johnsons of Old Hurst is well worth a visit. Farm animals, small children's adventure park, decent cafe, superb shop, restaurant (book well in advance) - and - CROCODILES ! A Tropical House with Crocs, snakes, turtles etc. Check out their website.

Nice Asian restaurant next door to the Redwings Lodge, nice food and take your own beer so cheap night out.
